If you've been following the news you'll have seen information start to emerge over the last few months about the new South of Scotland Economic Partnership (an interim body) that will lead to the new South of Scotland Enterprise Agency in 2020.
This is all about Dumfries & Galloway and the Scottish Borders getting an enterprise organisation that better fits the needs of our businesses, organisations, communities and local people. In other words - this is really good news for all businesses in our region.
To help make sure that what is developed is 'right' for our region, a consultation has now opened.
This is the opportunity for businesses, individuals and community organisations across the south to influence the design and the priorities of the new agency.
It is particularly important that small businesses and self employed people take part in this consultation because it's essential that the new agency meets the needs of all our businesses and it's important that the agency understands the challenges that rural businesses face.
Full details about the consultation and how to take part can be found here: https://consult.gov.scot/economic-policy-unit/new-enterprise-agency-for-...

There will never be a better opportunity than this to unlock the economic potential of the south of Scotland.
